CES 2024: Hyundai’s new hydrogen-powered car Nexo will be launched in 2025

On January 9, at the CES 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, Hyundai Motor Company demonstrated hydrogen power and its industrial chain. Officials have made it clear that the new hydrogen fuel-powered vehicle Nexo will be launched in 2025.

Hyundai Motor Group has announced its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 at its overseas plants and in 100% renewable energy use in every group entity by 2050. Among them, hydrogen energy will play an important role in achieving these goals.

HTWO stands for "Hydrogen" and "Humanity", the two pillars of the modern fuel cell business.

The HTWO business leverages the Group's extensive capabilities in various sectors including automotive, components, steel, construction, air traffic, marine, robotics and future technologies. The model focuses on four core areas of the energy value chain: production, storage, transportation and utilization. The group's affiliated companies are positioned along the entire value chain, forming a hydrogen grid that can develop tailor-made end-to-end hydrogen solutions. Through the HTWO brand, Hyundai Motor Group expects to produce 3 million tons of hydrogen per year by 2035 to power businesses such as clean logistics, green steel production and power generation.
